Off to paradise for a week.

There has been some requests for my address in Mozambique, and without further ado here it is:

This address is especially good until early december while I am in training. After that I may have a new address that will serve me better. But if in doubt, packages sent to this address will arrive to me eventually. I hear USPS is best and takes about three weeks. Padded envelopes are roughly 16 dollars and mid-size boxes are ball-park 40 dollars.

Moving on...I am heading north for the following week to visit a current volunteer and get a taste of the simple life that is a peace corps volunteer. I am going to the city of Machanga in the province of Sofala. I will spend a night in Vilankulos first. While in Vilankulos a friend, Patrick, and I will go snorkeling and see the aledgedly jet-blue seas between Vilankulos and the Archepelago de Bazaruto(?). The following day we will visit two girls living in Machanga at a missionary school. We have to take a boat up a hippo filled river in order to reach there home. It should be exciting. I have little in the way of pictures because unfortunately my camera has failed me at the most unconvenient time. I will try to get some from some friends. I hear there is a link from peace corps website that can take you to any public blogs of peace corps volunteers and all of ours are listed. I am sure there are some great pictures from others at training. I will try to provide a link to some good pics for everyone to see until I am able to upload some myself.
looking forward to any generous packages coming my way. chocolate and sweets are of a low comodity in Mozambique (FYI).
