On a historical date like today we have managed to get ourselves invited to an exclusive US embassy party and then an afterhours party at a Maputo mini-mansion. We had a great time and are anxiously awaiting the results of todays election at nearly 4 am. Hope all is well at home. I hope the pics are a good laugh.

The party was animated with the use of uncle sam hats. More like uncle Chase!

The after hours party was no less festive and the three candidates got hot and heavy late in the evening. Always wanting to win, I made sure to be Obama.

Happy election day to all and Mozambique couldn't be happier to see what is developing in the United States at this moment. I hope you all enjoy the tense race at home and in the mean time, watch your blues and reds, and hope for turquoises and pinks.
