safari surfing
i'm currently touring mozambique a little with my mother and step-father. they have had more adventure than they bargained for. after missing their connection in johannesburg, the airline managed to loose both of their bags. feeling much lighter than expected we moved on. we spent the last three days in south africa enjoying kruger national park, which boasts one of the largest collection of large game. jerry was like a kid in a candy shop and used more AA batteries than has ever been recorded. of the "big five", we only failed to locate a leopard. so illusive! in search of the more illusive luggage, we returned to maputo today and found both items waiting for us in the airport. so with five days to go we are a complete party and looking forward to taking our safari to the sea. tomorrow we will travel north for eight to nine hours on a hot stinky bus so they can get to know what i have to go through any time i want to go somewhere. enjoy the pictures we have taken thus far.
this is dave our british tour guide who speeds more than i do. however, he didn't manage to prove his speed via a speeding violation like I did.
here is jerry in our safari truck luring the elephants for some peanuts.
giraffes can grow to five meters. surprisingly, so can crocodiles.
these guys reminded us of judges from the high court.
the lions were enjoying the high traffic caused by the public holiday. if it weren't for dave, we would have never gotten lucky enough to see the lions even from this distance.
after begging our guide to find some wild dogs, we were finally treated by these two dorky ones. they both kept us company at our cabin over looking the city of nelspruit.
Wow, Great Pics, Post more Please! I hope you all are having a Great time. Sorry to hear about the luggage. I see from the pics that Jerry hasn't run out of smokes yet. Look forward to seeing you all when you get home.
